Privacy Policy
This page is maintained by The Fabrica to explain how the platform handles your data. It is app-owned content, not an independent certification. Last updated 6 August 2026.
Who we are
The Fabrica OS is operated by Da Silva Miranda Edgar, trading as The Fabrica. Our registered address is 68 Rue Dicks, 4082 Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, VAT number LU34978414, phone +352 671 547 442. For any privacy question, contact info@thefabrica.eu.
Data we collect
- Account data: email address and brand name you provide at sign-up.
- Product data: sketches, images, references, measurements, fabric and construction details you enter to generate tech packs, cost estimates, feasibility reports and 3D visuals.
- Order data: quantities, delivery details and production status for manufacturing requests.
- Billing data: subscription status and identifiers from our payment provider. Card details are handled by the payment provider, never by us.
- Technical data: authentication sessions and error logs.
Why we process it
To provide the platform features you request, to generate specifications and quotes, to share what a factory needs in order to produce your order, to handle billing, and to keep the service secure and working.
Legal bases under the GDPR: performance of our contract with you (account, projects, quotes, orders, billing), our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and improving it, and compliance with legal obligations such as accounting retention. Where we rely on consent, for example a public product passport link you choose to publish, you can withdraw it at any time.
Content you choose to publish
Digital Product Passports and invoice approval links are reachable by anyone holding the link. Only the product and order information needed for that purpose is shown. Do not include personal data in fields intended for product specifications.
AI-assisted processing
Text and images you submit for tech packs, cost estimates, feasibility reports and 3D visuals are sent to our AI provider to generate the requested output. Outputs are indicative and reviewed by a human expert. We do not use your content to train public models, and no automated decision with a legal effect on you is taken by the platform.
International transfers
Our hosting, database and email infrastructure is operated in the European Union. Some providers, including AI and payment services, may process data outside the EEA under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Processors and partners
We use third-party providers for hosting and the database, authentication, AI-assisted generation, transactional email and payments. Manufacturing partners receive only the product and order information needed to quote or produce your item. We do not sell your data.
Retention
Project, tech pack and order records are kept while your account is active and for as long as needed for accounting and warranty of production. You can erase your content or delete your account at any time from Account Settings → Data & privacy.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data, and object to specific processing. Two of these rights are self-service in Account Settings → Data & privacy: Erase all my data permanently removes your tech packs, cost estimates, feasibility reports, AI analyses, 3D twins, passports, projects and orders while keeping your login, and Delete my account additionally deletes your profile and login permanently. Both are immediate and irreversible; invoices we must retain for legal accounting purposes are kept in anonymised form. For anything else, email info@thefabrica.eu with the subject "Privacy request" and we respond within 30 days.
Security
Access to your projects requires authentication, and database access rules restrict records to the account that owns them. Report a suspected vulnerability to info@thefabrica.eu; please do not test against other users' data.
Cookies and storage
We use only storage that is strictly necessary to run the platform, with no advertising or cross-site tracking. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, contact us first at info@thefabrica.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Changes
We update this policy when the platform changes. Material changes are communicated by email to account holders.
